Biography
Name:Rebecca Louise Craft
Birthplace: Gloucester
DOB: 14th April 1991
I am currently studying Communication and Media BA (Hons) at Bournemouth University and I am aiming to pursue a career within the media. You may gain after reading my blog that I hope to enter the world of journalism/PR. Though, recently I have been working on another media medium- Nerve Radio at my University and I am really enjoying it! In the winter months of 2010 I undertook a teaching assistant position and gained invaluable teaching experience. In the future I hope to gain a TEFL qualification; to travel and teach.
I have always had a keen interest in writing. Since the age of twelve years old I have been writing articles, stories and poems. I wrote for my school and college papers regularly and have always found the English language fascinating.
Working since the age of fifteen I also have gained a lot of different skills from part time employment. I have delivered newspapers, worked as a kitchen assistant in a convent, a retail assistant at River Island, silver service waitressing at Goodwood (every year), factory assistant at The Body Shop, a week’s work experience at a Music Industry Mission Control, voluntary work at St Barnabas and so forth. I had to complete a months internship at Eibe Play Ltd to enter my third year of study.
I am always getting involved in new challenges and taking on new opportunities. This blog is predominantly a portfolio of my university work, but it will also include commentary pieces, travel writings and blog posts of reviews (book, television and film), news and opinions. Please feel free to post your comments, but be aware I have posted house rules.
Thanks, Rebecca.
